WordPress…For Blooming Bloggers
I just received this from a Style Statement client and friend:
Danielle, you and Carrie are doing an amazing job with your new daily posts…I read them and save them each day – always fun, thought provoking, I follow links, add to my favourites on a regular basis…awesome!!!
I am just in the midst of working with a designer for my new website and I will also be linking with a blog. Are you using WordPress for your blogsite? I would really appreciate learning your blog host and if you are liking it, and how easy it is to get your stats. I appreciated the recent SEO article on your blog by Daniel.
Thank you for your help!

My word up on WordPress:
WordPress is the way to go. Our Daily Q&A and entire website is built on it – which means we can update content ANYTIME, OURSELVES. It’s a beautiful system and I can’t recommend it highly enough. (We blew about $30k on a complicated, third-party built platform that we tossed for the elegance and ease we have with WordPress. Growing pains.) We use Google Analytics and it gives us terrific stats – it’s all you need.
Keep tuning into the blog for weekly IT Tips – Dan is a genius and we are all very passionate about helping other web-centric savvy conscious chicks to prosper in every way.

WordPress truly rocks. It has its quirks and limitations, but these are far outweighed by its simplicity and the community of developers who are constantly building new plugins to make it still easier to use. The new release (version 2.6) includes support for Google Gears, which means you can work on your posts even without an Internet connection, and then your changes are automatically synchronized when you go online. One last point: check out the storm in a teacup my post about WordPress created on my own blog…

Thank you for your daily posts – I “tune in” whenever I can and find myself pondering the questions last thing before I go to sleep!
I do have a question though – when (and where on the site) will we be able to access the Ask C&D: Advice column to the rescue?
Summer – ain’t it grand!
