Wooden Educational Toys
Having educational toys is so important in a child’s development. When our children are young the mind is like a sponge that absorbs everything around it and processes information both quickly and easily. Using wooden toys for educational purposes allows a child to feel:
- Texture
- Density
- Form
- Weight
A child grows in many ways, cognitively which is the mental development and motor skills which is the physically development as well as emotionally. They learn from the people around them and the environment and things that around as well. Then the toys come into the mix.
There have been many studies over the past century and now, in highly controlled testing environments, by Universities and different Institutes throughout the world have found that, the more traditional toys seem to foster the most beneficial child stimulation when it comes to both mind and body. Some of the claims are that electronic toys even if they are for nothing more than pure fun can actually have negative consequences when it comes to creativity and attention span and that some of the targeted educational toys actually offer nothing in terms of an identifiable benefit to a child.
There have been even further studies that have shown that electronic toys can actually limit or even inhibit the child’s ability to be able to think outside of anything other than just the electronic device in and of itself. With most electronics there is the same start point with a predetermined end with a singular purpose in mind. It inhibits the child to think outside of the box, to dream up games, to stimulate thinking, role play and overall interactional and cognitive developmental skills.
When it comes to the economical aspect there is no question that the electronic toys have quite a noteworthy disparity in price structure. Not only would you be able to get your child more things but you’d be able to allow themselves to learn much more through imagination and creativity then just purchasing expensive electronics.
