Who has been of service in your life, and how do you remember them?
Q&A | November 10th, 2008 No comments
On Remembrance Day, we acknowledge the courage and gallantry of those who served their country.

Carrie says: My brother died on Remembrance Day and I acknowledge my family for keeping his spirit alive. We remember Timmy by talking about him; we are deeply and forever connected by his life and death.

Danielle says: When I was eight years old my mom’s friend, Flora, was dying of cancer. Because my mother was so young and took me everywhere with her (to college, to work, to hippie parties,) I spent a lot of time at the hospital by Flora’s bedside. I watched her smile through the decay. She was like a soldiering angel and even though I was just a kid, I knew I was witnessing something other-worldly and precious. To be invited to that multi-dimensional experience, rather than left outside of it or fed sugar-coated lies about death, was a huge service.
