Jennifer!!! How nice to hear from you!! No, I think I am the only Cécile on C & D… At least I haven’t seen anyone else… The weather sounds so womderful… and your French doors do too. I wondered where had you been? Talk to me about healing… I am quite interested… But this is off-topic, and I do not know if this is against the group’s protocol… Anybody?

I have been busy getting ready for a talk I am facilitating on healing. all of life is about healing.
I also worked over the week end. I am a nurse and work at a hospice.
I live in a house built in the 40’s and love the ever present and subtle sense that it is almost the same vintage as me. How did people live in those tiny kitchens. We lived for a whole winter before we altered it to be more in line with how we live today. Open plan with French doors to the sunny outside.
Space to invite people round. NZers are very casual and love easy open living spaces.
A big high has drifted over NZ and the clear blue sky and the sun remind me spring is on its way. I opened the whole house up for half an hour and let the Fresh air drift through The best house perfume of all Fresh air straight off the Tasman sea.
Are you the Cecile that does quite regular postings on Carrie and Danielle or are there 2 of you.

Oh Dear!! I am awfully sorry! We used to jave bad storms like that when I lived in the New York area. Coral Gables is a rsidential area within the Miami Metro Atea. It’s old, by that I mean houses built in the 40’sd and fifties, but there are many newer beautiful homes. I live in Bay Harbor Island North of the Gables. My daughter lives in the Gables. I am staying with her, because the Nanny was let go, and I help with my granddaughter, and she is helping me save on gasoline.. I live 20 miles each way from work which happens to be in the commercial area of the Gables. I work for the County as a computer programmer and systems analyst.

What a lovely name. I am going to Google Coral Gables and find out where in the world that is
I live in Wellington new Zealand. It is the middle of winter here and the whole country is having the most violent storms

Thank you for your reply! I am so exscited now.. I picked out the book from the shelf over a month ago. It almost jumped at me.. but I put it back, because I thought it kind of complicated… But Borders in Coral Gables has it, so I will pick it up tonigjt…

I am sure once I get started the biography part will make all the sense in the world, because right now I am not sure what you mean…

You are so lucky doing your style statement with a decent biography to work with. Give yourself plenty of time and play with it all
Carries and Danielles book is a must. The book is the map of the whole country. I found it really helpful to group the foundation words into families that are realated to each other. You do this and it only has to make sense to you. One of those groups of words will pop out at you and that when you can be sure you are on the right track
Another thing I found helpful was to get my 10 very favourite things that are mine and put them all together. this can be art work, vases. a photo, a book a shell anything that makes your heart sing.
Draw 9 squares on big piece of paper. and write the 10 things by name in the middle. Around the 8 outside squares write some describing or mood word that capture what those favourite things are all about. That will give you some good clues.
You can do the same with your favourite clothes and jewellery too. The things that make your eyes sparkle to put them on. The words for that can be a helpful reveal too.
Its work and its good work and fun too.
It can also be a great help in getting the clutter out of your life too. The stuff that is not your style statement and does not tell you your story.

Actually I recalculated my age: won’t be 63 until March 21, 1009. So we are a year apart..lol

I amswerd my own question: Yes, I ned to get the book and do the homework. It won’t be this week end as my son, and his girlfriend are coming to town, and we are having a Birthday Party for him. But I will shoot for the following week-end.
I will keep you abreast of my progress.

Thank you for your reply. I think we are fortunate to have witnessed the apex of NASA, and the faces -sans enhancements-that graced the major fashion magazines when we were in our teens… Actually, no I haven’t seen In the Shadow of the Moon, but I will search for it. Yes, I did see Aldrin at a book signing, and my eyes got watery…
I need to work on my Style Statement. I know this sounds totally ignorant, but, can you walk me through it? Do I need the workbook/book? I need a mentor!!!! lollollol
