Insights, a-ha’s, paradigm shifts and the unforgettable teachers who help you open your heart and expand your mind…

Carrie says: The Landmark Forum. It was a 3 day workshop. I left my constant companion, judgment, in the room that weekend and took steps towards a closer relationship with my father. Read more about my experience with Landmark on our blog.

Visual Explanations Danielle says: Visual Explanations with Edward Tufte. It was a one-day workshop in Washington, DC for geeks and design buffs. It changed the way I LOOKED at information, text, books, graphics. And it sharpened my utility-into-beauty talents. One of the many highlights of the day was that Tufte brought out a first print run edition of one of Galileo’s books, presumably worth tens of thousands of dollars, and literally handled with white gloves. For a bookphile, it was like laying eyes upon the Holy Grail. Design geek? Read more on our blog about Edward Tufte. He will rock your graphs and data.
