What is a good wedding gift to get someone a year later?

Getting the right gift for a person is always a hard task. A good gift should be something that can not only make the receiver happy, but it should also make the giver feel proud. How often do we all find ourselves wracking our brains thinking of a perfect piece of gift for our near and dear ones? We often wish that we could read the minds of our friends while deciding the gift. Finalizing on a gift for an individual is hard enough. Now we are talking of a good wedding gift to get someone a year later.

How to pick a wedding gift for a couple who have spent a year into their marriage? Ask me and I would say this is easier than picking a gift for the wedding day itself. A year into the marriage, the couple would have settled into their marriage and in most cases, work and other social interventions would have crept in as well. This is a perfect time to gift them the much needed revival in the form of a gift.

One could think of several options here. A year later, the couple would have settled in their house. Buying something for the house, like furniture, crockery, bed-sheets or a show piece will make an excellent choice for a gift. If you are one of those who wants to gift them an experience that will remind them of their honeymoon period, you could think of a ‘one-of-a-kind’ gift by putting in a little bit of thought and a little bit of a pressure on your wallet.

A reservation at a hotel with candle-lit dinner planned exclusively for the couple would make the couple spend some quality time with each-other. This could be coupled with live music. Another great wedding gift would be in sending the couple on their second honeymoon. It needn’t be to an exotic location. Even a small resort in your town or in a neighboring city will make an awesome gift. This will refresh their memory of all the wonderful memories the couple spent together.

Besides the above mentioned choices, you can put on your creative hat and think of innovative ideas. A simple idea would be making a collage of photographs of the memories that they cherish over the past year. This can be made special by adding notes of wishes from friends and family. Sticking this all in an artistic manner on a handmade paper and getting it framed will be a feast to the eye. Another good wedding gift for a couple who are celebrating a year would be to just frame a photo of the couple. If you are a tech-savvy person, you can make a video or a film on the life of the couple. All you would need are a few photographs, videos and some music to be played in the background. These are a few ideas on how to pick a wedding gift.
