When I see this happening, it fuels me. It reminds me that we have not been so out of synch with nature for very long. Then on my daily task of picking up the garbage that blows against our city community garden, I can have compassion for the bits and pieces of ourselves that we throw away, that are forgotten, rather than feel anger or frustration. We are healing, and as we do, we stop harming the earth and ourselves, bit by bit. As an herbalist, I work to reconnect people with nature and their own earthy body wisdom.
