Understanding Your Sun Signs: Aquarius

The term Zodiac actually stems from Greek, meaning “Circle of Animals”. It’s also interchangeable with what is known in Western Astrology as a Sun Sign. What effect do these different characters have on you? Well, it can tell you a lot about yourself; help you recognize areas you may need to work on, give you direction towards potential careers, help you understand relationships, and empower you to make changes.
As humans we are the only species on Earth (that we know of) that looks up at the stars and wonders, or tries to consciously seek meaning and better ourselves. Determining and understanding your Sun Sign can give you invaluable insight into how you really work, how you may come across to others, how to better relationships and what you can do to keep healthy.
Look out each month for a new sign and new insight!

Aquarius Personality
Ruled by Uranus, the freakiest of planet in our solar system (it’s North Pole points to the Sun and it’s moon revolve backwards around the planet), Aquarians are true originals. Aquarians value individuality above all, and are great communicators (thanks to that air element) as long as it stays in the realm of intellect. They get very uneasy when discussing feelings or any type of emotional aspect around a situation.
Symbolized by the universal man, Aquarians have a habit of seeming detached, more like an observer than participant. At the same time they can be considered one of the jokesters of zodiac — they don’t like to be too serious for long periods.
Aquarians are abstract thinkers, they love innovative concepts and to learn about the world and how it works. They pick up on things really quickly and will show incredible smarts at a young age. They may seem like a know-it-all to others and can sometimes turn people off with this fact. Aquarians are so smart it seems that sometimes their common sense goes right out the window!
They have a tendency to be a little stubborn, but if it’s something they believe in they would rather die than give up the concept or belief. Aquarius is the sign of the Eleventh House, the one that dictates future. Because of this, Aquarians have a habit of not being all that interested in the here and now. They prefer to focus on the possibilities and “could happen” scenarios; day-dreaming about the perfect future rather than worrying about what is going on. It doesn’t matter if that ideal future ever comes to pass as long as the possibility is there.
Aquarius Health and Exercise
Aquarius rules over the calves, ankles and tibia. They are prone to nervous disorders and can be clumsy. Within the body, they rule the circulatory system, eyesight, breathing and the bones of the lower extremities. Aquarians are prone to heart problems and cannot process wheat grains. They also may have some stomach issues such as cramps or bowel problems.
Aquarius Relationships
Aquarians love thrills — especially in relationships. They have no issue with public displays of affection and are adventurous in bed. For most of us, sex purely play, but for Aquarians it’s the gathering of new knowledge that really turns them on and the will go to great lengths to acquire it.
Aquarians are equal opportunity lovers; loving all races, cultures and sometimes even sexes. The perfect relationship for Aquarians are ones that keep them physically and mentally stimulated and challenged. Someone who is both tolerant and dynamic, giving the Aquarian the freedom they crave.
