While there are many healthy foods that provide the body with required nutrition, there are some foods that have an extraordinary amount of nutrients packed into them. Such foods are called super foods. Theses super foods contain more nutrients per calorie than any other food in the world. Some of them even have such rare nutrients that you would be hard-pressed to find in other foods. And, the effect they have on our health and our well being is nothing short of fantastic. They help keep our internal systems in shape, they help build immunity in the body, they help prevent as well as treat a number of diseases and ailments, they help weight control in many cases and some of them can also reverse the signs f ageing and actually increase your life span! Here is a list of the top 10 healthy foods in the world:

Berries

Berries like blackberry, blueberry and especially acai berry are extremely full of nutrients that their nutrition info can run into several hundred lines. They contain antioxidants, our only protection against free radicals that wear out and age our internal organs as well as our skin. Regular consumption of berries can help weight control as well, since they provide the required nutrition without adding calories, enabling you to avoid consuming high calorie foods just to get your daily dose of nutrients.
