I really appreciated this article. Much to my chagrin after coming home today for lunch between meetings, I saw a 2 1/2 foot Dora doll in our living room and my 16 month old daughter calling out her name. Our loving, well-meaning sitter had bought the toy on one of their walks earlier in the day. I came home after class tonight and found the doll in the crib! I couldn’t sleep thinking about how to handle this issue. This kind of toy goes against every thing I value, and frankly, is just creepy to look at! Your article helped me figure out how to approach this tomorrow. Thanks!
