The Aura of Pranic Healing

Alternative therapies, Healing, Health & Wellness | January 15th, 2010 1 Comment

Did you know that your body is surrounded by an aura, or body of energy? In fact, there are several layers of aura around you. These auras have different colors and flow around you. The healthier you are the more spread out and vibrant is your aura. So a person who can read auras can assess how healthy you are and can treat you accordingly. This is known as the art and science of Pranic healing.

Pranic healing is an ancient healing practice that has been developed and introduced in recent times by Grandmaster Choa Kok Sui. It uses prana, or life force energy to balance the body, while harmonizing and transforming its energy process. Prana, a Sanskrit word, is also referred to by the Chinese as chi. This is a system of healing in which the aura absorbs life force energy from the environment and distributes it to different parts of the body like the glands, organs, muscles, etc.

When the aura is depleted, it is an indication that disease is present in the body. In Pranic healing, healing is applied to the depleted portions of the aura in order to heal the corresponding parts of the body. The depleted, or diseased, parts of the aura are cleansed and positive energy levels are established. The chakras, or energy centers, are also treated to restore the body’s balance and bring it back to good health.

Another traditional therapy that utilizes energy is Reiki healing. Reiki is both a hands-on, as well as a no-hands system of healing. Reiki healing involves the scanning of the chakras in your body to gauge the level of dis-ease. Healing energy is then applied to the chakras, cleansing, balancing and healing them. Since the chakras are linked to specific parts of the body, healing the chakras results in those corresponding parts being healed.

As with Pranic healing, Reiki healing is a technique that you can practice yourself. When you attend a Reiki workshop, you undergo an attunement process that opens up your chakras and releases a flow of healing energy. Hence, if you use Reiki to treat anyone, you will become a channel for the healing energy. A more advanced level of Reiki healing allows you to practice distant healing, whereby you use a number of symbols to heal some one at a different location.

Pranic healing and Reiki are just two of a number of alternative therapies available today. All of them don’t necessarily use energy to heal. Some alternative therapies, such as Ayurveda, involve the consumption of medication. However, these are all natural therapies which are gentle and non-toxic. Other alternative therapies include Homeopathy, Unanai, Yoga, Meditation, Chiropractic and Naturopathy.

Most of these alternative therapies are traditional systems of healing which take a holistic approach to health. They aim to treat the body, mind and spirit in a holistic manner. These therapies usually recommend changes in lifestyle, diet and physical activity to treat disease, while the spiritual aspect is dealt with through the practice of meditation, which is widely practiced today.
