Holiday Chic: Carrie’s “You Look Great!” Fashion Tips
I just returned from a glorious week on Hornby Island. A visual delight of artists, entrepreneurs and families all mingling together. This photo was taken at the farmers market, don’t these women look great!?
Why she looks great: (left)
1. Natural. Layers of natural fibers and muted colors.
2. Proportion. Notice how her pants, tunic and sweater are equally separated.
3. Crocs. Quiet color, not neon orange. Dan & Danielle immensely dislike Crocs however I think she makes a funky and quiet statement.
4. Consistency: Wire rim glasses and glasses are the same shape. Dreadlocks are loose and casual, like her clothes.
Why she looks great: (right)
1. Simpicity. A dress, a bag, a bracelet and flip flops how easy is that! Summer Simplicity!
2. Pattern. This dress is the statement piece, everything supports her frock. Fits her beautifully.
3. Accessory size. Straw bag is casual and the perfect size for a petite woman. Also a small beaded bracelet doesn’t overshadow her as a chunky piece might.
4. Shoes. Perfect flip flops are casual and pick up purple in the dress.
