Screwpull Wine Opener

Wine | November 6th, 2009 No comments

When it comes to wine openers there are all kinds coming in all forms of shapes and sizes and claims. If you’re like many people you struggle with opening a bottle of wine and it’s a very frustrating thing to go through.

More than often the claims come as they are described so the only thing that you really have to think about is which opener is going to be the right one and the easiest one for you.

If you have a hard time with grasping certain things that you’re more than likely going to have problems with any kind of a standard bottle opener. If you have problems then there are openers where you can just place the wine bottle into the device and it will open them for you.

The screwpull wine opener is one that looks similar to a clothes pin. What it does is it will fit over the mouth of the bottle and will then twist down into the cork with its corkscrew that’s within the frame. It allows for an easy twist down into the cork by being able to hold the handle on the top.

After you have the corkscrew into the cork all the way all you have to do is twist and then pull and out will come the cork. This is one of the very popular corkscrews and unless you have special circumstances it is very easy to use. The only drawback is it may take a couple of times for you to get used to the technique but it’s very simple once you do.

If you’re giving a bottle of wine for a gift you should definitely include a corkscrew if they don’t have a lot of accessories already and are new to drinking wine at home. This is a good option to go with, it’s budget friendly and they’ll be able to use it fairly easily.
