School Girl Chic: Would the Sartorialist Approve?
It’s that time of year, back to school and I’ve always loved the private school look; shirt and pleated skirt.
Why she looks great:
1. Simple. three easy pieces, no extras.
2. Shape. Notice how the shape of the belt buckle is repeated in the shoe. Fitted shirt (although it rides up still looks good) which blends into fitted flared skirt to create a gentle silhouette.
3. Color. Two shades of blue with a dark shoe that carries the color gracefully. No break. Aren’t her shoes adorable? From Joe Fresh.
4. Casual. Pushed up sleeves. One of my favorite blogs, The Sartorialist has noticed this fashionable look this Autumn.
