Quote of the Day: Are you Structured*
“Good order is the foundation of all things.”
~ Edmund Burke
Excerpted from Style Statement: Live by your own design
*The first word is your foundation. The second is your twist. Structureds don’t like to rush, and they are not prone to shortcuts. They have a gift for recognizing and analyzing patterns, code, and themes in situations, artistic works, and group dynamics. They love to…
… engineer and affect change; that’s why they get up every morning.
Structured stands for reason and integrity. They build things: systems, structures, achievements. They will map things out and gather all of the essential resources—emotional and material—before they jump into a new endeavor. They firmly believe that you need to know the old-fashioned and traditional ways of doing things in order to be on the leading edge. Structured is gratified to be master of a few things, rather than jacks-of-all-trades. They take pride in what they do. Without enough rest and playfulness in their lives, Structured can become overly analytical and disconnected from its heart. Structured is very much in touch with its own foundation—fundamentals, values, guiding beliefs—and is rarely swayed from its ideals.
Look & Feel: Carefully built, sturdy, solid, heavy, graphic, bold. Attention to detail, well-engineered. Ordered, tidy. Rooted in history. Original, primitive.
