Fruits contain a large amount of carbohydrates, proteins and vitamins along with water. Vegetables may be tubers, roots, grains, leafs and so on. These need to be cooked thoroughly for proper digestion. Meat can be of different types of animals. The geographic location and the culture of the people determine the type of meat they consume. Diet and nutrition are very important aspects of living and they are integral features of everyday life.
Nutrition has a very strong influence on the life of man, so much so that his life revolves around food. The work that he does is to fill his stomach. This basic need determines the importance food has in our lives. Food nutrition is hence a very important subject. There are various disorders that can happen if we do not concentrate on our diets. A good diet is essential in boosting the resistance levels of the body. This is the power to fight against infections and so on. If the diet is lacking in the right nutrients, the body will become vulnerable to various infections and illnesses. This is the reason the diet needs to be balanced and properly supplied. The food habits of a person determine his personality as it has a very powerful influence on him and his psyche.
