Maternity Wedding Dresses

Fashion, Style, Wedding | October 5th, 2009 No comments

So you’re getting married and you’re pregnant? Just due to the fact you’ll be showing on the day you get married doesn’t mean that you have to give up the dress that you really want to wear and go with a selection from one of those maternity stores or websites with the horribly limited selections.

Look through materials like magazines, the web and others to formulate some ideas on the type of dress you’re going to want. What do you like specifically, flowing, lacey, halter, etc…?

When you find options that you like make a wedding dress notebook to put picture copies in it. Looking through your creation you’ll have a better time of finding what you like when you go to the store. Even show it to the clerk so they can help you find some of the dresses you like that match the selection that they have. If you don’t have an idea when you go you’re most likely going to be extremely overwhelmed.

After you’ve been able to narrow down some choices you’ll want to estimate how far along you’re going to be and then try a few sizes up and place a small pillow underneath. You’ll want to make sure you’re going to have room to grow.

After you’ve determined your dress you can even add some things to extenuate your pregnant belly and your waist, people are going to see it so make it pop.

You’ll want to delay the formal fitting as long as possible without waiting for the very last minute. Around 1-2 weeks should be sufficient.
