Low Calorie Wine
If you’re looking for low calorie wines there are some options that you can go with. You should keep in mind though that if you’re trying to promote weight loss drinking any type of low calorie wine, or even simply just a low calorie diet with some wine thrown in will not help you to lose weight. If you’re looking to lose weight you should build in an exercise routine as well.
Here are a couple of the options that are out there:
- Beringer Blass Wine Estates – This is a wine that is produced in California and is going to have a lot lower calorie option than some of the other wines that are made in the state. The company states that this is due to their method of grape production. They pick the grapes a lot sooner than the other companies so the grapes don’t have as much time to build up their sugar content. You’re saving about 18 calories per 5 ounce glass and the alcohol content is at a 9.8% comparative to the usual 13%.
- Bacardi Island Breeze – This is another lower calorie drink. The reason for this is that this drink is produced with another product rather than the usual sugars in the production process. You’re getting a lower alcohol level as in the other option looking at 18% comparative to the usual level of 35%.
There are definitely some more out there so take some time and find the one that will compliment both your tastes as well as the lower calories that you are looking for in a wine. This is just to give you a basic idea of what the rate difference really is. It’s not that significant though it would add up eventually depending on your levels of consumption.
