Generally, Wavefront technology is around three hundred fifty to five hundred dollars more than the usual conventional surgery rates. This is due to the use of the sophisticated laser set up and the precision instruments.

Centers offering Lasik surgery at low prices can be an eye wash as there is minimum cost incurred which cannot be avoided. This low cost is given only to a very small section of patients who have a particular refractive index. , low cost LASIK operation will be just the cost of the procedure with bladed microkeratome and this will not include the other associated costs such as medicines, post operative care and the doctor visits. Trucking of the laser system is common is some centers where it will be used during one time and then taken to another location the other day. These messes up the calibration of the laser making the surgery less precise and it will loose its consistency.
