Healthy Weight Loss Diet Plan
Healthy weight loss should be one of our priorities. Modern living can put pressures on us to keep pace with the fast moving world, and exercise and weight control can take a back seat. The world also places unrealistic expectations on our appearance.
We can become so involved in our careers and goals, we forget the world around us and that we have a responsibility to ourselves to eat healthy food and exercise. The competition of accomplishing our goals can be brutal. We have to stop and take stock in what is really important.
We must take an inventory of the food we are eating and the habits we have formed. Are we eating more junk food like chips, sodas, cookies, etc? Are we frequenting the fast food establishments to the detriment ofour health? The body will start craving these foods and storing unwanted fat.
A combination of these bad habits can create challenges that we have to take control of and overcome. Putting healthy eating and exercise back as a priority can be done by doing the following:
Walking for at least 30 minutes three to four times a week,
Performing an exercise for about 10 minutes a day,
Joining a gym, if financially possible, and using it three to four times a week.
Talking does not help you lose weight. Select healthy foods to keep on hand that will help you in your weight loss program. By keeping healthy foods on hand, you are less likely to snack and eat “junk food,”
The following suggestions may help:
Many waters come in flavors now. Having flavored water on hand may keep you from grabbing
something to drink that is high in calories.
Some have found that Soy Milk tastes good on cereals. When selecting milk, select skim.
Powered milk is also good over oatmeal or cereal. Remember to stay away from sugar coated
cereals.
Keep fruit on hand for a snack. Using vegetables with a low calories dip makes a great snack.
Spreading peanut butter on your whole wheat bread can be a great substitute for butter.
Low calorie cheeses make a tasty snack.
These simple activities incorporated into our lives will improve our health and stave off obesity.
