Healing with Yoga and Reiki
The concept of healing, as opposed to conventional medical treatment, has become very popular all over the world. Millions of people are looking for an alternative solution to popping pills or surgical intervention. They are looking for ways to get cured, or prevent disease. And ideally, they prefer alternatives that are non-toxic and long lasting. Above all, people are looking for solutions to their health issues which can be implemented by them without having to consult physicians all the time – solutions like Yoga and Reiki.
Yoga has really become very popular globally as a practice that can be undertaken by an individual. It is a practice that you can learn from an instructor and continue to do it yourself. You will have to practice the yoga poses on a regular basis every day. But it is worth the effort since you will acquire levels of fitness that you can’t possibly imagine.
Yoga poses ensure a new fluidity and flexibility in your joints and muscles. It is a gentle practice that does not put any stress or strain on your body. The breathing exercises help clear your system and energize your body as you feel the healing energy flow through you. Meditation is a very important aspect of yoga as it calms your mind and helps you focus.
Reiki, on the other hand, involves the application of healing energy on the chakras, or energy centers, in your body. These chakras, meaning ‘spinning wheel’ in Sanskrit, are related to specific sections of the body. You can practice hands on healing by your self and will feel the benefits almost instantly. You will need to attend a Reiki workshop in order to be attuned by a Reiki master who will align your chakras.
Another way to treat your chakras is through Chakra healing. You will need to get your chakras scanned in order to identify the problematic areas. When chakras are debilitated, the parts of the body they correspond to, start malfunctioning. Even if just one chakra is out of sync, it can have really unhealthy consequences and must be seen to right away. Chakra healing calls for aligning the chakras and energizing them to make the body work efficiently.
Balancing the chakras creates synergy between them and energizes them. This results in increasing the levels of energy in the body and ensures a healthier body. The seven main chakras in the body are Crown chakra; Third Eye chakra; Throat chakra; Heart chakra; Solar Plexus chakra; Navel chakra; and Root chakra
Another healing alternative is Pranic Healing, which basically works on your aura. After the aura is studied and the debilitated areas are identified, healing energy is applied to the aura. Any toxic material is removed from the aura and dispensed with and the debilitated areas are healed. This is a practice that you can learn yourself by attending a workshop, or you can undergo treatment from a Pranic healing practitioner. If you learn Pranic healing, you can not only heal yourself but can heal others around you too.
