We all know that the human body cannot survive without food and water after a certain period of time. This shows their absolute importance. Food and diet are very important as well as complicated. There are various aspects to nutrition and eating which we do not understand fully. They have a much larger influence on us than we know of. This is the reason we need to properly understand our diets. Good nutrition is a very essential part of our lives. We need good food and water to live a healthy life. The numbers of nutrients that are required are many and this tells us that our diet needs to be varied as well as balanced. These nutrients maybe needed in large quantities or small quantities. A healthy person will have a balanced approach to eating. This is a very important point that we need to understand.

The various types of nutrients include proteins, carbohydrates, minerals, vitamins, fats and so on. These are required by the body on a daily basis. Even if one of them is conspicuously missing from the diet its effects will be felt by the body. For example carbohydrates are a rich source of energy. If it is absent the person will be lethargic and inactive. This shows the immediate impact that the food which we consume has on our body. Today we see the fitness phenomenon catching on. To stay fit one has to give equal amounts of importance to the diet as well as exercises. A healthy diet is very important in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Without adequate nutrition, any amount of exercise is not going to help the body. Actually it can be harmful. If the body is exerted unduly without giving it the necessary nutrients, the body will start to disintegrate. To be precise the body will start to look for alternate sources of energy and it will start to consume itself. This is seen more often than not. Hence we need to be careful to avoid such a situation. A healthy diet will include all the nutrients which are essential to the body. Fruits and vegetables are the most important food groups. Man derives a lot of his energy from the surroundings that he lives in.

A person who is weak is mostly probably not eating well. This is a problem which can be solved with the right type of nutrition. Healthy nutrition starts from eating a balanced diet. There should not be too much of any one food group. This will create an imbalance. This is not a good thing. The body will feel the deficiency of one nutrient and it will show in the various ailments that come. Healthy nutrition will make sure that the body is healthy and powerful. All this can be done only by regulating the intake of good food. The most important aspect is the consumption of adequate amounts of water. This will ensure a good electrolyte balance in the cells aiding in better cellular metabolism and release of energy.
