Get On With the Fitness Program!
Do you enjoy that adrenaline rush? Do you relish that release of endorphins? Do you enjoy the fluid sensation of muscles flexing? Do you crave the exhilaration of speeding along, your feet barely touching the ground? You are obviously a prime candidate for a fitness program!
Fitness programs come in all shapes and sizes, for people of all shapes and sizes. These programs are designed to meet your capabilities in terms of health and physical fitness. Although a fitness program is usually geared to push you just that little extra bit, it also takes into account whether you are up to it. There would be no point in planning an exercise regime that you are unable to cope with. Something too strenuous may result in permanent damage.
You need to study how flexible your body is before committing yourself to a fitness program. How fluid are your joints? How strong is your spine? How well developed are your muscles? Do you get winded easily or can you take the stairs two at a time? Are you good at lifting weights? These are all the questions you need to answer before you undertake a physical fitness program.
Very few people are in a state of extreme fitness, unless they are athletes or sportsmen. Although hordes of people these days are choosing to get fit, very few have actually achieved extreme fitness. In spite of aspiring to reach high levels of fitness, most people don’t always make it and tend to drop out of the running. The kind of discipline and self control required isn’t always present in everyone.
Extreme fitness calls for the maintenance of a grueling workout schedule, lots of rest and a healthy diet. Reaching this level of fitness often requires a lot of sacrifices like no drinking, no smoking, high protein and low carbohydrate diet, early nights and practically no social life. Very few people are willing to make these compromises in their daily lives, except for those who are obsessed with fitness.
Most people who are into extreme fitness usually work under the guidance of a qualified personal trainer. They adhere to the highest fitness norms and spend hours working out at the gym every day. Using a combination of machines and weights, they push themselves to the limits of human endurance. And yet, they always feel that they can do so much more.
An experienced fitness trainer will spend time with you, getting to know you, gauging your physical, mental and emotional strength. The fitness trainer will assess your dedication in order to see if you can stick to a grueling fitness program. If your drive and determination are in doubt, the trainer will try to work out a schedule for you that you can cope with.
Along with a physical workout, the trainer will also expect you to maintain the right kind of diet – one that will help you to control weight, tone your muscles, create energy and build strength. There will be no stopping you if you maintain the right balance of diet and exercise.
