One of the most important food groups that we have are the fruits. These are nature’s gift to us. The nutrition levels of these products are impressive. Fruit nutrition is a very important aspect of our diet. There are many cultures which consider fruits as scared and divine. This is because of the nourishment that they provide. Fruits are treasure troves of nutrients. Some of them are very beneficial to us. And still some of them are rare and not easily found.

Fruits are very different and diverse. Actually they have a very different function in nature altogether. They are designed in such a way that they are attractive and tasty. This is because almost every fruit that we know of is a means of pollination. Fruits contain the seed of the plant. When the animal consumes the fruit, only the seed will not be digested. When it passes in the stool, it will most probably be far away from the place where it was consumed. Hence the fruits have a very distinct and important function in the whole scheme of things. Fruits have a lot of nutrients which the body needs. There are different types of fruits. Each one is distinct in its appearance and taste. There are different variations of fruits. Some are very colourful, and tasty. Others are milder and have a more tempered down taste. Nonetheless, each one is very good for the body. Fruits contain nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, minerals, vitamins and some other essential ingredients. They are very high in carbohydrates. Some of them even contain ingredients which are unique to them. This makes them highly sought after. Fruits are also said to be aphrodisiacal. There is not much evidence to prove this, but one theory suggests that consumption of certain fruits increases the production of certain hormones which are related to the sexual cycle.

Fruits are very important constituents of our diets. When we suffer from certain deficiencies it is most definitely due to the absence of fruits in our diet. They are very good for the skin, the eyes, the blood and other various parts of the body. We need to eat fruits on a daily basis, only then can we say that we eat healthy. The lack of fruits in our diet will show very quickly on our bodies. Fruits are also used extensively in cooking. They are used to make desserts and other sweet delicacies. They are also dried, sweetened and consumed. If we need to eat healthy we need to appreciate the good qualities of fruits and use them on a daily basis.
