With the ever increasing stress levels and the tremendous amounts of negative influences on our diet and body, ill health has become a common sight. There are many people, both young and old who suffer from serious illnesses which have been caused by the effects of these sudden and dramatic changes. One of the key features of the 21st century is the phenomenon of excesses. Everything that we do is in excess, be it work, eating, sleeping or anything which is unhealthy after a particular point of time. Hence we need to get back and shape. The need to stay fit has never been stronger or intense than it is today. One of the best ways to do this is to get into the habit of doing fitness exercises. These will ensure that the body is fit and active; it is safe from external influences and does not become weak every time there is an infection. A good fitness exercise is the one that keeps us fit no matter what. There are many different forms of exercise and we shall concentrate on the good ones now.

Fitness yoga is the most successful forms of fitness. It is an ancient Indian practice which has been mastered and honed over centuries of practice. It is a very effective form of exercise which does not involve a lot of sweating. This is what sets it apart from the other forms which are very physical and demanding. It is a good de-stressing activity and has been taught all over the world. The basic concept of fitness yoga is in its postures, movements and the breathing technique. The scriptures teach us that effective breathing goes a long way in maintaining the vitality of the body. This when combined with the fluid motions which are suggested in yoga, the body is able to heal and rejuvenate. This form of exercise is not recommended for weight reduction as there will not be any fat reduction here. The body will be cleansed and it will be able to heal in a very effective manner. This is the reason it has become extremely famous. People lead very stress full lives and the practice of yoga is a very good way of reversing the harm done. If it is practised regularly there will surely be a lot of positive results. A lot of physical ailments related to muscles, digestion, breathing, blood and various other aspects of the body can be treated with the proper application of yoga.

The other famous forms of exercise include aerobic fitness. This is an active exercise routine which requires the body to be put through its paces with rapid and rhythmic movements of the body. Aerobic fitness is very helpful in increasing the stamina levels of the body. We see that the sedentary lifestyle has decreased the stamina levels very low, and aerobic fitness is recommended to people who lack in stamina and physical strength. By using these techniques in combination one can become healthy and fit.
