Diet Without Feeling Hungry With Some Simple Tips

The biggest problem with dieting is the constant hunger pangs that drive dieters to eat something fattening and derail their weight-loss goals. However, hunger can be controlled naturally without resorting to dangerous pills or potions. You can manage your growling stomach with natural foods and liquids that are very healthy and don’t cost a fortune.

Apple-Cider Vinegar

Apple-cider vinegar is good for curbing one’s appetite because of compounds in it that break down carbohydrates slowly. You could sprinkle it over your salad or make a hot drink out of it by putting ¼ cup of apple-cider vinegar in a mug and pouring hot water over it. To sweeten, stir in some Stevia or honey. However, don’t overdo it on the honey or you will be consuming too many calories.

Pectin

Pectin helps control hunger. Eating one apple before every meal will help with weight loss because it makes you feel satiated. Also, the pectin that goes in jams and jellies can make you feel less hungry. Some companies produce pectin supplements that are more convenient than Certo or other pectin packets.

Fiber

Every weight-loss program should have lots of fiber in it. Fiber helps quell hunger pangs and keep your digestion regular. Bran, beans, popcorn, sweet potatoes, flax seeds, apples, brown rice, berries, and prunes are all high in roughage. Fiber helps you feel full longer than simple carbohydrates like cookies, which burn quickly.

Foods That Produce Satiety

Lean proteins, fish, vegetables, spicy dishes, high-vitamin foods, and whole-grain cereals help to curb hunger. Whey powder made into a shake is also helpful when dieting. To lose weight, we should be eating breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and supper like a pauper. Many of us reverse this and eat a tiny breakfast, a skimpy lunch, and a huge supper.

When you eat late at night and then just lie around, your food turns into fat. Instead of a bag of chips eaten in front of the television set, try peeling a cucumber and eating it with some radishes and celery. The water and fiber in the vegetables helps you feel full. Also, choose fresh fruits and vegetables instead of commercially prepared juice or dried fruit. This allows you to get the fiber and nutrients you need. Eat grapes instead of raisins or oranges instead of orange juice. A cup and a half of grapes equals a quarter cup of raisins. Wouldn’t you rather have the grapes?

Liquids

Don’t forget one of the most important beverages while dieting–water. Everybody should drink at least eight glasses of water a day. This humble liquid fills you up and helps with the weight-loss process. Low-fat broth can be a dieter’s friend as well. Low-calorie chicken broth heated with some vegetables can prove quite satisfying. Brewing yourself up some tasty herbal tea will also help you feel full when you’re hungry.

Keep On Truckin’

Any diet is an uphill battle, and you’ll need to put in hard work and a lot of time to lose weight and be healthy. There’s no magic solution, so don’t give in to advertisements that promise weight loss in a bottle. Most of the supplements that are sold for dieting are not very helpful and will do nothing but drain your pocketbook.

Instead, look to the natural, inexpensive ways to manage hunger while dieting. Eating fresh and natural foods is good for your body, and when you start to feel healthier, you won’t crave the junk foods you thought you needed.
