Diet For Six Pack Abs
I’m sure all of you have seen those infomercials that tout their machines and have your glorious six-pack abs in only a matter of weeks. All you have to do is purchase their machine. The thing that they don’t tell you though are not only is it not likely to work but without a proper routine and a healthy diet you’re never going to get the chiseled abs they show on the guys on the infomercials.
Creating Your Meal Plan
Meals – Rather than the normal amount of meals people usually eat of the three large meals you’ll want to have about six smaller meals a day rather than that. The smaller meal, which also has you eating more frequently, is going to help you boost your metabolism and works to build up your lean muscle mass.
You’re going to want to make sure your meals are a combination that includes carbohydrates, proteins and good fats.
Proteins – Have a good intake of lean proteins; such as:
- Tuna
- Egg whites, either boiled or scrambled
- Chicken, either broiled, baked or boiled
Make sure to skip the sauces and those fatty condiments.
Fats – You’re going to want to limit the fat intake but it would be a mistake to cut it out of your diet completely. The key is to eat fats but eat good fats and in moderation. Fish and olive oil are an example of things that contain a good fat.
Carbohydrates – You’ll want to have a good carbohydrate intake contrary to the popular belief that you should eliminate carbohydrates. You’ll want good carbohydrates though; such as:
- Sweet potatoes
- Fruits
- Vegetables
- Brown rice
Exercise
With your diet you’ll want the exercise mentioned at the beginning. Some good exercises to do include:
- Crunches
- Leg lifts
- Hanging leg lifts
These will help get you on your way to the chiseled six-pack abs that you’re looking for and you’re not going to have to buy the overrated and overprice machine.
Final Thoughts
Steer clear of breads, foods with a high sugar count and pastas. If you should have cravings then you’ll want to eat fruits.
Make sure you’re drinking plenty of water. It helps clear our body of toxins and also makes sure we keep our bodies hydrated. When your body gets dehydrated any intake you have after that your body is going to retain it just as your body would retain fats whenever you eat if you try to diet through fasting.
