Depression is a hidden problem in relationships. A couple may not realize that one of the spouses is depressed and the depression may end up affecting both spouses. - Introduce a different element into the daily routine. Again, you can do an activity together, such as going to the new walking track or you could join a bowling league. An opportunity to do something different, meet new people and experience a different and more stimulating environment can make all the difference.
- Deal with any problems you may be facing in the relationship. Talk about them and try to resolve them. If you need help, talk to a relationship professional. Sometimes an unresolved problem can make someone feel depressed, or experience a sense of hopelessness about the future. Face and deal with the issues.
- Tie it all together and give it time to work. Be proactive. Look for ways to combat the depression in your relationship. Lead a balanced lifestyle. Get out of your rut. Do things together.
- Find ways to improve the quality of your relationship. It can work wonders!
