Corporate Christmas Gifts
When it comes to buying corporate gifts it can be a very tedious task. Trying to find something that everyone is going to like and won’t just toss into a drawer and forget about it right after is enough to make just about any sane person go mad.
Business gifts are something that is fairly unexciting. I can’t even count the amount of promotional pens I’ve gotten from work and from buyers; they have a drawer to themselves. Anyone can learn to get a great corporate gift rather easily though and still give a show of appreciation to your clients, colleagues and your employees. Painless shopping can be transformed into easy shopping.
You shouldn’t try to find something different to everyone. Avoid this headache by getting and giving the same gift to everyone. Now you might be thinking that this is going to be impersonal by the gifting of something generic; however, you can give a gift of universal appeal that renders that a non-issue.
Gift Certificates/Cards
Gifting a certificate or a card is something that pretty much everyone enjoys. In order to make sure they have some variety when they want to make a purchase you should look towards a company that carries a large variety of items so everyone will be able to find something. Some good examples would be:
- Amazon
- eBay
- Target
- Wal-Mart
These are some perfect options that make shopping for something that is fun or something that they would normally purchase anyhow very quick, convenient and easy for all of your corporate associates or employees.
Massage Therapist
One of the coolest things some companies are doing is hiring a massage therapist to come into the office and each employee gets a 10-15 minute shoulder and back massage as their Christmas gift. It’s a memorable present and you’ll get some “stand out” appeal to your employees as it’s far from an average gift. You’ll probably get some more productivity too so this gift gives back a little too.
If you go with this option not everyone is medically able or feels comfortable with getting a massage so you should provide an alternative as well so they can choose between the two. Something like an aromatherapy kit would be perfect as it fits the same theme just a different part of it.
Gift Baskets
Another fun option is a Christmas gift basket that is filled with things like:
- Cookies
- Chocolate
- Cakes
- Gourmet cheese
- Olives
- Gourmet nuts
- Smoked salmon
- Other food products
These make a great gift for your clients. Food is something with the universal appeal we were talking about. Also with such a large selection it’s bound to have something they will like and I’m sure their employees or family will finish off the rest. Depending on how many clients you have to buy for you can either get these custom made or buy wholesale. There are pre-packaged wholesale options specifically as a corporate gift basket.
Charity Contribution
One of the options that are making gains in popularity is giving to a charity in the name of your colleagues, departments as a whole or the corporation. You should make this supplemented with a greeting card with a personal message written inside with what the gift given was and that you’re appreciative of their teamwork throughout the year.
