Christmas Cookie Gift Basket

Money | November 6th, 2009

You can do an inexpensive gift that your friends and your family will find delicious and memorable, at least until they have to clean up the crumbs. Instead of just doing all of the baking and setting them out you should make so0me of them into festive Christmas cookie baskets and spread the dessert. You can also fill them up with some useful items that the person you’re giving it to would want or need along with some other meaningful touches that you can add that your loved ones will truly treasure.

Bake several types of your favorite cookies to make. You should consider doing a lot of different versions with different ingredients to mix it up a lot and it will also accommodate a lot of preferences and add some variety in general.

These are good gifts to give to just about everyone. For those that you want to spend a little more money on you can add some additional items to the basket. You can spice the baskets up fairly easily for others or everyone by adding a gift card or some of the ingredients you used to bake the cookies with the recipe. You could also even throw in some of the utensils you used for those that don’t have everything or could use a set.  Things like:

  • Non-stick cooking trays
  • Rolling pin
  • Christmas cookie cutters
  • Cookie dough scoops
  • Spoons

You can also add just about anything else of that nature or something that you want to throw in, there really are no rules.

Pick out a Christmas tin to hold the cookies that you baked and if you’re including some other items put them into a basket and place all of the items. You can use some colored tissue paper to put the items in to add some color and to put some of the smaller items at different heights.

Finish it off by putting it on top of some colored or clear cellophane wrap and gather all of the sides towards the top and tie it off with some colorful ribbon and you’re done with an awesome and budget friendly gift.
