Cheap Wedding Gifts: Part 1
The one moment you’ve been waiting your entire for is coming up soon: your wedding. It’s going to be expensive. This is not the time to cut corners. And why should you? Every bride deserves the long, flowing white dress of her dreams, the perfect shoes; the music, laughter and dancing: every last detail from the wacky DJ to the details on the wedding cake should be special and reflective of the bride’s every whim. Sadly, your paycheck is getting leaner every month. You’re going to have to make some sacrifices, but where?
Backtrack and Cut Back!
Saying you are going to cross some vitals off the list and actually doing it are two entirely different things–and nobody wants to skimp out on the moment of a lifetime. You don’t want to give up on your vision, and why not? It is your day to enjoy, after all.
Despite that, it is important that you are realistic. If you pause and reflect on these thoughts, you’ll see that extravagant purchases aren’t the wisest decision. When it comes down to it, even if it’s the most awaited day in your life, it is still only one day. You will have years to enjoy each others’ company–you don’t want to create years of insurmountable debt for one day of luxury.
That’s no way to begin a good marriage. You want to start out on the right foot, not dive head
first into an argument.
