Can Aphrodisiacs Help Combat Impotence?

There are hundreds of thousands of aphrodisiacs advertised online and offline every single day. Miracle cures for impotence, assured remedies for low libido, new and improved cured for decreased libidos, are all thrown in your face every day. Aphrodisiacs have the capability of increasing your libido and orgasmic pleasure. Besides these, there are numerous other aphrodisiacs that many people claim work wonders for improving sex drive.

Some every day foods are rumored to contain aphrodisiacs which help boost a low libido. These foods include chocolate, almond nut, avocado, asparagus, banana, shell, strawberries, nutmeg, wine, coffee and ginger. The jury is out on whether these foods really have the effect of an aphrodisiac on the person eating them. What cannot be denied is that some of these foods produce a feel-good sensation when eaten. Endorphins are released when most of these comfort foods are eaten and that might relax the body and mind.

It is important to understand what impotence is, to be able to learn to deal with it and find the right solution for it. Impotence can result after a long period of a declining libido. Impotence is the condition when;

  • The penis cannot get an erection
  • The penis cannot get a complete and proper erection and remains partially soft, which does not permit any kind of penetration
  • The penis gets an erection but only for short periods of time and does not last until the sex act has been completed.

Impotence is a serious medical condition and a doctor or a specialist needs to be consulted. Depending on the cause of impotence, the doctor can prescribe a cure for it. On the other hand, for a loss of libido, or a declining libido, there are precautions that can be taken. There are many causes for a falling sex drive. Stress, tension, overworking, not getting enough sleep, being preoccupied, depression, guilt, tiredness, tighter deadlines, failing health of a loved one are some of the causes of a loss of libido. Some causes are physical and other causes are psychological and emotional.

An aphrodisiac is anything which can help a couple get in to the mood for sex. It could be in the form of a pill, it could be some kind of food or drink, it could be an environment or just a fruit. Sometimes all a declining libido needs is a change of scene, or some privacy. A short holiday to an exotic destination could work wonders. Something simple like a massage could act as the best aphrodisiac. Putting aside some quality time to spend with a partner could be an aphrodisiac.

It is important to identify the problem and then quickly seek out a solution that works. Impotence is a serious condition which destroys self-confidence and shatters the ego. An aphrodisiac will not be of much use if impotence sets in. because of this it is important to address the issue of a declining libido as soon as the signs appear.
