Here’s a great opportunity for all of you mentor/mentee wannabes. B.C’s Forum for Women Entrepreneurs is gearing up for this years’ Mentor Program. The deadline is this Friday August 15th! Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to be involved in an exciting and rewarding program.
Carrie just graduated from their E-Series program. We think FWE is a terrific resource for entrepreneurs!
Contact kim [at] fwe [dot] ca to sign up. But first, check out the Program Highlights…
Program Highlights
- The Mentor Program runs from mid September 2008 until June 2009
- Entrepreneurs are matched with senior level men and women mentors.
- Extreme consideration is made when matching Mentees and Mentors to ensure the right pairing is made.
- Throughout this program, entrepreneurs and mentors have the opportunity to benefit from each other’s knowledge and experiences.
- Mentors and entrepreneurs in this program meet once a month in person or by phone. It is up to the entrepreneur to arrange the meetings.
- Four events enhance the program throughout the year:
1. meet and greet event on October 1st , 2008 at The Vancouver Club for all Entrepreneurs and Mentors in the program to get to know each other
2. ‘working with your mentor’ workshop a few weeks later – for Mentees only, to assist with maximizing the Mentor/Mentee relationship
3. ‘Thank the Mentor Event’ in November – for Mentors only, offering a great opportunity to network with other mentors
4. educational workshop in Spring 2009 for all entrepreneurs and mentor focused on a “hot” business topic.
During the program Entrepreneurs are required to e-mail monthly progress reports with the FWE Mentor Program Coordinator in order to ensure that matches are proceeding in a productive manner and to facilitate changes if necessary.
Mentees pay a minimal fee of $100, which includes all event fees.

Might I ask if this is still on-going? I recently moved and I'm quite close here, and I really want to learn in this program.
