Budget Planner, Making Your Budget For Free
Using a budget planner to get a track of your money through tough economic times and making the most out of the money that you have. With the cost of goods going up and disposable income going down it’s even more important than ever to not just create a budget but to stick with it. You’d be surprised how far some self-discipline can go to going toward financial freedom and enjoying what it provides for the things that you want and for the money that you want to save.
Record Income
You’ll need to record all of the household income. List this out using the net pay that you get every month. If you’re a dual income family you’ll want to make sure that you list out all of this income for the budget. If you have any additional sources of income you’ll want to make sure to put this in as well. Adding all of these totals together and you’ll have the ceiling for your monthly household budget.
List Fixed Costs
Now that you’ve listed your income you’ll need to list out all of your fixed costs. These costs are going to be the monthly costs that don’t change like your rent/mortgage, cay payments, insurance premiums, etc… You’ll take all of these expenses and add them up and then subtract them from that monthly income total you had first. The remaining amount is what you’ll have left for the remainder of your budget and emergency savings fund.
List Any Additional Outgoing Money
Now you’ll want to list out the cost of everything else you’re spending money on. These remaining expenses are going to include things like your groceries, utilities, dining out, etc… You might think that the utilities and groceries should be in the fixed but they are fluctuating prices so they are better for the additional/variable costs.
Analyze and Track Spending
You’ll want to make sure to analyze your spending habits and break down all of your expenses and your income. Make sure that you carry a notebook with you so you can write down everything you’re spending money on including the Pepsi you get from the vending machine. If you want the budget to be a success it means that you need to be honest with yourself with all of the money that you’re spending every month.
