Budget planner is something that people don’t want to put into their mind when they are living above their means and don’t really want to change. The world right now is running on credit and people are so far in debt because they don’t take the word budget and use it. You can live a good lifestyle and stay out of debt at the same time by making a budget. You can make an easy monthly budget that you can stick to by following the advice in this article.
Prepare To Track
Either using a notebook or a spreadsheet you’ll need to update and track your expenses. If you don’t see it in front of you there is no way to know what is coming in and what is going out. If it’s easier for you to have it and keep it with you at all times to stick with it you need to have it on paper. You could put it into the spreadsheet to if you wish but you need to do what it takes to stick with it.
Expense Listing
List out all your expenses that won’t change every month, these are your fixed expenses and are things like your mortgage, car payment and other types of these expenses. You’ll need to list out all of your other expenses that can change which are your variable expenses as well.
Net Income
Next you’re going to want to list out all sources of income for what you bring home for a month. This is the only money that you need to give yourself to spend for the month. You want to make sure that you stick with this so you’re not living beyond your means so you can get out of debt not further in. if you’re not bringing in enough money then you’re going to need to look at places that you can reduce your spending or might have to look towards a second job.
Do the Math
You’ll want to make sure that you’re putting the money that you are saving from your budget into an emergency fund and put that into your budget. This is going to be for your future and will be invaluable should something come up like losing your job etc… It takes time, it takes patience and it takes heart but if you want it you can make it work and you’ll be a much happier person for it.
