The thing that amazes me as I watch my boys grow up is their determination. Both of them worked for months at getting the crawling thing down. They'd try, rock back and forth, slide down, get back up... and they both got it (then, within weeks, they both stood up and started walking around). I was chagrinned to realized that I couldn't remember the last time I'd spent months learning something. If I don't get it right away, I tend to move on (which is another word for give up.) Good thing my boys didn't give up on crawling!

Yes! Yes! The willingness to try and the freedom to express their emotions of the moment are key qualities of babies that allow them to be creative children. There is so much to learn from them, perhaps the most important thing being that we all began life with the natural ability to express and create. And we can tap into that ability at any time we choose. All of us, not just "artists".

Thank you ! Great post.
