Avoid “White Food” in Weight Loss Diets

Health & Wellness, Nutrition, Weight loss | September 21st, 2009 No comments

Another way to lose weight sensibly is to avoid “white food”. If you avoid salt (sodium) sugar, white rice, white flour, and many processed foods, you may be on your way to weight loss. There are healthy sugar substitutes, but again we suggest you consult with someone who can advise you or carefully read the label. The internet is a good tool to research food substitutes.

May medical professionals will advise you to drink eight glasses of water a day. Water should be chosen over fruit juices that are high in sugar. Starving yourself is discouraged because it can cause you to over eat when you do sit down for a meal. Eating a balanced, sensible diet is the best way to improve your health and maintain your weight. If you feel like having a pizza, a hamburger or hot dog, don’t deprive yourself. Just eat until you are full and go back to your regular way of eating for your next meal. Depriving yourself can feel like punishment. You want to enjoy life, so eat what we categorize as “junk food” then go back to eating sensibly the next day or the following meal.
