The various beneficial aspects of this fruit have made it extremely popular all over the world. It grows well in colder climates, and it is sold all over. There are different types of apples available which are rated according to their sweetness. A healthy diet should most definitely contain an apple as an indispensible part. The apple is a rich source of antioxidants. These are very important in the fight against various types of cancer such as colon, prostrate and lung cancer. They are used extensively for the control of cholesterol and heart disease. It is used for the control of weight as it is a very filling food. The stomach will become full and the appetite will be satisfied.

Apple is one of the fruits which is used in cooking. It is used extensively in various cultures in sweet preparations. There are various pies, tarts, and other delicacies which are made from apples. They are very popular. Even though it is felt that the apples will loose their nutritional content if they are cooked, they actually do not. The preparation itself takes on the nutrients and hence nothing is lost. Fruit nutrition is very popular. There are many books written on this subject. Even though apples are not easily accessible, they are very much in demand all over. We should under understand the various benefits of fruit nutrition and try and include them more in our diet. The quality of life becomes much better if we eat fruits on a regular basis.
