All about Tai Chi Yoga
Tai Chi yoga is not as widely practiced as other forms of yoga but is still loved by its followers. Tai Chi Yoga combines two very difference disciplines of Tai Chi and Hatha yoga. It is a very comfortable form where you do only that which feels comfortable. You are not pushed to do more than what you can or stretch till it hurts. It is believed that this level of flexibility is sufficient to have healing effect on your body. The two disciplines are very different. One is a form of an ancient martial art and the other focuses on stretching, breathing and meditation.
Yoga life can be enjoyed by being either the teacher or a student. Some even choose to teach themselves and be both. Tai Chi Yoga starts off with one being seated. You should perform breathing exercises as you remain in this position. After this, you stand up and perform the Tai Chi movements and then the reclining movements. Seated yoga movements will follow this. You will finish with wither reclining relaxation or kneeling.
Better results are found when the two forms are combined than when they are practiced alone. Tai Chi yoga will keep you youthful. It nurtures your body, mind and spirit. Once you start practicing this relatively race form of yoga, you will feel the difference in your health both physical and mental. It is not very intense but is of moderate intensity depending on how you do it. As you progress, you can increase the intensity and try new poses.
When you are practicing any form of yoga at home make sure your yoga space is right. Let the surroundings be as natural as possible. If you plan to keep your yoga space indoors, make sure it is well ventilated. As all forms of yoga consider breathing techniques to be very important, you will have to make sure the room is well ventilated. With Tai Chi Yoga, life will feel much better as you will be stress free and healthy too.
If required your yoga space can be stocked with props as well. Props can be used to help you perform advanced yoga poses which will be harder to do without the props. While some frown upon this, some forms of yoga use them to make sure the poses are right. The yoga forms that do use them believe that for maximum benefit, one should get the alignment right with the poses. Personalize your space so that you can meditate better and feel comfortable doing it.
Tai Chi Yoga is practiced in a few studios and you should check with the studio if the instructor is well certified and experienced. This is a little difficult to be learnt by oneself but can be done using online videos and articles. Even though Tai Chi is a martial art form, when combined with yoga, it gives a lot of health benefits in addition to making you fit and strong.
