A Love Letter to Jason Fried

Dear Jason,

You don’t know me. And I know you probably get this a lot, but I think I’m in love with you.

I know, I know – it’s too soon. But that’s how it goes. I can’t control my feelings. When I saw how easy it was to manage a project with your software, I nearly wept with relief at finally meeting Basecamp, a user-friendly web app.

Jason Fried 37signalsSee, I’ve always been a traditional pen-and-paper kind of a girl. And I have to admit, when Dan introduced me to 37signals, I didn’t think I’d like you.  Isn’t that how so many great relationships start? Now, I lie awake shamefully thinking of all the things I can do with your web apps. Is that so wrong?

Basecamp treats my projects with such gentleness and consideration. It’s like it anticipates my every need (except comment editing, but we can talk about that later.) I’ve never used anything like it before. It’s like it knows everything about me now. All my projects,  all my milestones and deliverables, and today, when I uploaded my logo, I really felt like we connected. It was special.

I know you may not feel the same way about me, but I need you to know how much you mean to me.

Your Ever Loving User,

K
